1. International Institute of Information Technology (IIIT-B)
Established in the year 1999, IIIT-B is ranked as one of the best IT Colleges in Bengaluru since the approval of the institute as Deemed University. IIIT-B offers programs at postgraduate and Ph.D. levels. Even though it offers the programs in one discipline, the programs offered are varied on the basis of their criterion and are as follows.
• Integrated M. Tech Program
The admissions are considered on criterion where an admission seeker must obtain minimum 60% marks at 10+2 level with Mathematics as compulsory subject and further followed by the Score achieved in the entrance exam of JEE-Main.
• M. Tech Program
The program offers specializations in either Information Technology or Electronic Systems Design. The admission seekers are required to have a minimum score of 65% in Bachelor’s degree in the field of Science. The admission process is unbiased and further considered on the score achieved in the entrance exam of GATE.
• PG Diploma Program
The Diploma course is offered in various fields and admissions are considered through the tests conducted at National levels. Students must possess a degree in the field of Science and must have job-experience of more than 2 years to enrol in this program.
• Master of Science (Digital Science/Research) Program
The aspirants with a degree in the field of Science can apply for the program.
• Ph. D. Program
The program is offered in various specializations and a candidate must possess a Master’s degree to enrol in Ph. D program for any of the offered fields.
2. R.V. College of Engineering (RVCE)
Established in the year 1963, RVCE is known to be one of the leading engineering college for its courses offered beyond generic Science courses and includes chemical and aeronautical engineering as their spanned wings.
The institute offers Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) program in multiple disciplines and M. Tech or MCA is offered in one specialization. The admissions are strictly based on the criterion where, for the undergraduate course, a candidate must obtain a minimum 60% at 10+2 level and the final selection is based on the score achieved in the entrance exam of KCET/JEE Main/COMED-K Entrance exams

3. PES University (PESU)
Established in 1972, PESU is previously known as PES Institute of Technology and now is deemed to be University. PESU focus on practical learning and the institute is one of the best to connect students to the real world. PESU offers varied undergraduate, postgraduate and Ph. D. programs along with many dual-degree courses in the fields of Science and Management as well. The eligibility criterion for the offered courses in the field of Science are as follows-
• B.E./B.Tech
A candidate is required to obtain a minimum of 50% score in PCM at 10+2 level
• B. Design
A candidate must obtain 50% at 10+2 level and followed by the consideration of score achieved in entrance exams conduct by University.
• M.E./M.Tech
A candidate must possess a bachelor’s degree with a minimum score of 50% in the field of engineering. Further, Evaluation of score at CET (Common Entrance) is considered.
• Ph.D. Program
Admissions are considered of the candidates who possess both the undergraduate and postgraduate degrees with a minimum score of 60% in the field of Science, since PESU offers the program in varied research fields. Scores are further evaluated through an exam of PESSAT and concerned process.
4. Ramaiah Institute of Technology (RIT)
Established in the year 1962, RIT is considered to be one of the oldest private IT Colleges in the state. The institute offers programs in disciplines including Engineering, Architecture, Management, Computer Science and Tech. at all levels. RIT holds a good placement record and even though it offers various programs, the admissions process are not complex and are on basis of the levels which are as follows-
• B.E.
A candidate must clear 10+2 level with a minimum score of 45% in the field of Science (Physics and Maths are must).
• M. Tech/M. Sci.
A candidate must possess a bachelor’s degree with a minimum score of 50% in the field of Science. Final selection is based on CET conducted by the State Govt.
• Ph.D. Program
A candidate must possess degrees at undergraduate and postgraduate levels with a minimum score of 55%.
Bangalore Institute of Technology (BIT)
Established in the year 1979, BIT is accredited by VTU (Visvesvarya Technology University) and the institute ranks in top 10 list of best IT Colleges in Bengaluru. As the name suggests, BIT offers varied programs in the field of Science and it is also one of the successful institutes to be tied-up with major companies including HP, Oracle, JP Morgan, Infosys, Wipro and EMC for placements.
The institute offers programs at all levels and admissions are purely considered on basis of State or National level exam, mainly JEE Main, GATE, CMAT or KMAT. Around 700 students were places in the last session with record placement of 99% and major proportion of these placements were in global companies and the average CTC for the session was 9LPA.
