Designer Purva says the metamorphosis of kaftan from being comfortable clothing to joyous wear, has been a refreshing trend “During this festive season, people are styling kaftans with embroidery details. While this attire in the black hue in the rage, many are also teaming it up with dhoti skirts and dupattas to give a traditional touch“. she says.
Designers also do experiments with kaftans like different cuts, designs, sleeves, and silhouettes to give the outfit a festive feel. Different styles of kaftans are in the market, you just have to pick one and go out. Kaftan is wearable at all places like for grocery shopping, for home, for teacher-parents meetings, wedding parties, birthday parties, etc.

Purva says, “My personal favorite is the one with neckline details of intricately done Kashmiri embroidery and that looks classy when wore during the festive time.”
Monisha suggests, “Kaftans and Kurtis paired with palazzos and dhotis make for the ultimate party look. Go for the colors like golden, burgundy, blue, green, shades of pink, white with floral pattern. Sequined kaftan with embroidery can also be a great pick, a classy belt can be a good addition.
